Sewing Away

Archive for December 2012

Hello,

So this is a holiday when I give giftjars to almost evetyone. 🙂 I just find the idea so cute, that I could not resist.

So, this one is a citric body scrub for my grandma.

I saw the idea here: body scrub

My favourite is for my mom, bread ingredients. 🙂 You only have to add eggs and butter to it. The layerong is not as pretty as on the original picture but I realized too late that I used a much wider jar.

At the back of the little tag I put the receipe down.

Here is the original project: handmade gifts

I also found the cookie-ingredients jar there.

Last but not least cocoa-hot chocolate-candy jar for kids. 🙂

I hope everyone will like them! Happy holidays!

It is a busy Saturday, but I know the reason. Anytime I should study hard I find excuses to avoid it; one of the best ones is sewing. 🙂

So it is for my future mother-in-law and I used this tutorial:

I saw this amazing idea on pinterest: http://www.tipjunkie.com/homemade-gifts/gifts-in-a-jar/

My friend just moved in to a new apartment and I thought I could make something like that for the new place.

It has a little wooden butterknife, a soap, a sponge, honey and little spicecubes in it.

I hope she will like it.

Have a happy Saturday!

I made this sweater a few months ago, so it has been over a trial period and I can say I am satisfied. It was not easy to deal with the little pieces coming off the cut edges, but I handsewed them at the end and had went through them by machine too.

I had the pattern from Burda magazine.

What is your opinion?

The trickiest and nicest part is the back.
